Museum planning winter activities event

A new winter event is coming to the Miracle of America Museum.

A special winter activities day is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at the museum, located at 36094 Memory Lane, Polson.

For the day, rides will be available on several vintage snow machines, including a 1926 Model T snowmobile, a Polaris Snowplane, a Tucker Snowcat and two snow crawlers formerly used at Glacier National Park.

Warm beverages will be available for purchase.

Standard admission rates of $5 for kids age 2-12 and $10 for those age 13 or older will apply. However, the event is intended to be a fundraiser for the museum, and additional donations would be appreciated.

Anyone who would like to volunteer to operate the machinery is asked to call museum founder and CEO Gil Mangels at 406-883-6804. Members of local snow-related groups who would like to participate are also encouraged to call Gil.
