It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Layne Goetsch, 67, on Dec. 30, 2021 from respiratory failure.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Goetsch ,and his daughter, Carla Goetsch. He attended school in Missoula and then joined the U.S. Air Force. Afterward he went on to work in the automotive industry for the next several years. Mark loved to spend his time entertaining family and friends for hours. He touched the lives of so many with his positive attitude, personability, bigger than life smile, and his will to live the fullest life possible.

Mark did not let his health slow him down. He had a zest for adventure and an appreciation for food. He was an avid NASCAR fan and will be missed by many during the NASCAR season. He enjoyed traveling at a moment’s notice, four wheeling, hunting with family and friends, fishing and camping. A couple of highlights from his life were skydiving and riding in the Goodyear blimp. Mark will be tremendously missed, but in the words of Mark, “It’ll all be OK.”

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Linda; daughters Angie Goetsch and Brittany (Ryan) Bryson; sons Jeremy (Jennifer) Goetsch and Brandon (Janel) Scott; mother Doris Goetsch; mother-in-law Judy Standbrook; sisters Barb Vanders and Debi (Troy) Brooks; brothers Roger (Janet) Goetsch and Evan (Kathy) Goetsch; brother-in-law Rick (Brenda) Dennis; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
