Polson swimmers reach podium at Kalispell

The Polson High School swim team had top finishes in five individual events Saturday at the Kalispell High School swim meet.

Aspen McKee finished second and Hailey Hanson was third in the girls 500 freestyle. McKee also finished fourth in the girls individual medley with a time of 3:00.72, about six seconds ahead of teammate Dixie Montgomery, who finished fifth.

Polson’s top finish of the day came from Lachlan Sloan, who was second in the boys 100 butterfly with a time of 1:11.15.

Other top finishers were Trae Wyman, who was fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:08.16, and Hayden Clairmont, who was sixth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 8:02.33.

In team standings, the Polson girls were last among nine teams, five of which are class AA schools. The boys finished seventh out of eight teams, ahead of Flathead.

Polson swimmers are set to travel to Butte on Saturday for the Mining City Invitational.
