Education briefs: LCCD offering $500 scholarship

The Lake County Conservation District soon will be accepting applications for a $500 scholarship for a Lake County high school senior who has an interest in conservation, natural resources and agriculture.

The application period begins Feb. 2 and runs through April 15. A decision will be announced by May 15.

Seeley makes U of Vermont dean’s list

Gwen Seeley of Polson was named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester at the University of Vermont. Seeley is majoring in early childhood preschool in the College of Education and Social Services.

Bjorge honored at Crown College

Elisabeth Bjorge of Polson was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2021 semester at Crown College in Saint Bonifacius, Minn.

Goss-Dickie graduates from DSU

Ethan Goss-Dickie of St. Ignatius recently graduated from Dickinson State University in Dickinson, N.D. DSU celebrated the most recent class of graduates at the institution's fall commencement ceremony Dec. 17. Graduates and their families were invited to participate in the ceremony which was held in May Hall's Stickney Auditorium on the DSU campus.

Local students earn SNHU honors

Dustin Pape of Arlee and Christopher Chaney of Polson made the Fall 2021 President's List at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in Manchester, N.H. with a GPA of at least 3.7. Meanwhile, Anna Parker of St. Ignatius and Traci Couture of Polson made the Dean's List (3.5 to 3.69 GPA).
