ARC banquet set for Feb. 12

Tickets are on sale for the Inaugural Gala and Banquet to benefit the nonprofit Arlee Rehabilitation Center’s (ARC) work to bring healing to youth and animals on the Flathead Reservation. The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3720 N. Reserve in Missoula.

Join Mayor Engen, members of the Salish community, furry friends and supporters for an evening of dining, music, live and silent auctions, service, and more. Auction items include Glacier getaways; skiing, hot springs, and horseback adventures; art; gift certificates; and much more.

Royce MacIntosh, baritone vocals, and Aneta Panusz, piano, will perform music.

All proceeds benefit the Flathead Reservation community through Pawsitively Healing Camps for trauma-impacted youth, spay/neuter clinics, animal-assisted therapy, social and emotional learning programs, and Reservation dog rescue/adoptions.

Tickets cost $50. Table sponsorships, including dinner for eight, are $500. Call 406-207-9338 for tickets.

Free certificates available for spaying dogs

The Arlee Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is offering a limited number of certificates for free spay surgeries for female dogs. Flathead Reservation residents in financial need are encouraged to contact ARC at 406-207-9338 or info@k9arc.org before the available spots are filled. Quilt guild gathering in Ronan

The February meeting of Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Terrace Lake Community Church in Ronan. New members are welcome. Please bring your “show ‘n’ tell” to share.

Take the plunge for Special Olympics

The Flathead Rez Shiver in the River polar plunge is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at Riverside Park in Polson. Registered participants can create fundraising pages by visiting tinyurl.com/2p8t5uzb. All proceeds will benefit the Montana Special Olympics.

Pachyderms meet Feb. 11

The Lake County Pachyderm Club will hold its first meeting of the new year at noon Friday, Feb. 11 at the Polson Rural Fire station, 25 Regatta Road. Guest speaker Jim Gomolka will discuss voter fraud in Montana.
