Alcohol suspected in fatal crash near Arlee

A 40-year-old Charlo man was killed in a head-on crash July 1 on U.S. 93.
According to a Montana Highway Patrol report, the accident happened at mile marker 23 near Ravalli, just north of Arlee.
The man was driving a 2003 Subaru Legacy northbound on U.S. 93 when it crossed into the southbound lane, striking a 2017 Toyota Camry.
He died on the scene. According to the report, he was not wearing a seat belt, and alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
The 34-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger in the Toyota were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. They are from Honduras, according to the report.
