Forrest Clayton Samsel

Forrest Clayton Samsel was born May 5, 1962 in Hamilton, to Colvin and Hazel Samsel. He was the fifth child of six children.

He lived in the Bitterroot until 1966 when he moved to Polson with his mother and siblings, where he attended Polson High School. Forrest was in Sons of VFW, was a Cub Scout, and enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, canoeing and hunting.

Forrest moved to Oregon for a time, where he worked at an Italian restaurant.

He came home to the Mission Valley and worked at 4B’s for years.

He moved to Missoula and was employed by Daly’s Meat Processing for many years.

He then returned to Polson and worked at Western Bee Supply.

He was residing in Missoula where he passed away at home in June.

Forrest is preceded in death by father (Colvin Samsel) and Mother (Hazel Trusler).

He is survived by his step-mother, Michele Samsel of Corvallis, and by his siblings, Lucinda Pulse, of Polson, Carlole Burton, of Florida, Keifford (Bud) Samsel, of Lolo, Tima Brown, of Polson, William (Bill) Samsel, of Polson and many nieces and nephews.

Forrest loved life, had many friends and will be in our memories and missed by all.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
