North Valley Creek container site reopens

The Lake County Department of Solid Waste reopened the North Valley Creek container site on Tuesday.

The county will staff the site, which will b open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This will not only keep the bears at bay, but will reduce (hopefully prevent) illegal salvaging, illegal dumping by folks that don’t pay for solid waste, and all the contractors that bring C&D in from Missoula,” a press release from Program Manager Mark Nelson said. “We have done this at a site in the Swan Valley and it is working well.”
