Sheriff: County inmate injured while damaging bunk

An inmate at the Lake County Detention Center in Polson was taken to the hospital Feb. 23 with a self-inflicted cut to his head, according to a press release from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Three inmates in the Lake County Detention Center intentionally damaged a bunk in one of the cell blocks around 7 p.m., Sheriff Don Bell said in the release.The inmate reportedly was injured while causing the damage.

The inmates responsible for the damage are Marcus Azure, 37, of Ronan; Joseph Couture, 30, of Ronan; and Donald Mcleod, 32, of Ronan. The Sheriff’s Office did not indicate which of the three was injured.

All have been cited for misdemeanor criminal mischief by Flathead Tribal Police. They remain in the Lake County Jail.
