Sandpiper Gallery art scholarships available

The Sandpiper Art Gallery and Gift Shop in Polson is accepting for its art scholarship program. Each year the gallery offers art scholarships to deserving students from Lake and Sanders Counties.

Scholarships are available to students accepted or currently enrolled in college, specialized art schools and vocational institutions. Applicants must meet criteria of majoring in art forms such as painting, sculpture, fiber art, graphic art, photography and ceramics. Criteria also includes professional careers in education, research, scientific art illustration, art archaeology and museum curatorship.

The nonprofit Sandpiper Gallery began about 50 years ago with a mission to encourage and promote appreciation and participation in the arts. Proceeds from its Art in the Park shows fund the scholarships.
