Polson fireworks set for July 2
Polson’s Fourth of July fireworks show will take place Saturday, July 2 at Riverside Park this year. Polson Chamber of Commerce staff announced details for this year’s show in a Facebook post Monday. The fireworks show traditionally is held on the Fourth of July. However, the company that previously put on the show is no longer in the business. The Chamber hired a new company that was already booked for the fourth, but was available on July 2. Polson’s annual parade will still take place July 4th in downtown.
Library book sale Friday and Saturday
The Friends of the Library book sale takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25-26 in the meeting room at the North Lake County Public Library, 2 First Ave E. This is the first book sale since 2019, and there are thousands of great books and other media just waiting for you to buy. Come and support the library and take home some treasures.
Good Shepherd series of the 23rd Psalm
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is hosting a series of the 23rd Psalm. The theme for Wednesday, March 30 is “God Pursues us with Grace.” Soup and bread will be served at 5:30 p.m. at the church at 409 Fourth Ave E. in Polson. There will be a message of trust and hope at 6:15 pm. There is no charge for the meal.
Arts and Crafts Fair returns to Ronan
The Ronan Women’s Club will hold its 34th annual Arts and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Ronan Community Center, 300 Third Ave. NW. Shooters’ group hosting annual dinner
The Polson Shooters Association (PSA) will hold its annual membership meeting and dinner on Thursday, April 7 at the Polson VFW, 423 Main St. A social hour featuring a no-host bar will begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 and the meeting at 7. Dinner costs $5 per person, or free with new membership or renewal of membership at the door. The meal is a spaghetti dinner with green salad, garlic bread and red or white wine. Individual membership is $30 per year and $40 per year for families, which includes unrestricted access to the range during daylight hours, or 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Polson Chamber awards on the horizon
The Polson Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual awards banquet, with a theme of “Diamonds and Denim,” on Saturday, April 9 at the Polson Red Lion Inn. Tickets cost $50 per person. A social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 and an awards presentation at 8.

Tri-tip dinner at Charlo
The Charlo-Moiese Volunteer Fire Department’s 28th annual tri-tip dinner auction and raffle begins at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9 in the gymnasium at Charlo High School. A dinner, including tri-tip roast, hashbrown casserole, salad bar and dessert, runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. A silent auction will be held from 4:30 to 6:45, and a live auction begins at 7:15.
A raffle drawing caps off the night. Prizes are: half a hog, cut and wrapped; 55-inch LCD TV; Bergara B14 Ridgeline 6.5 PRC; and an Apple iPad Mini. Need not be present to win.

Cherry growers to gather
The 84th annual cherry growers meeting will be held Saturday, April 9, at the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers cooperative cherry warehouse located at 34190 S. Finley Point Road. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in cherry farming. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the meeting begins at 9.
Speakers include Dr. Ines Hanrahan and Mark Hanrahan, both highly respected in Washington state for their expertise in the research and development of cherry varieties and innovative practices of horticultural systems. Advance registration is recommended. General admission is $20 per person and includes morning refreshments and lunch.

Pheasants Forever banquet in Ronan
Mission Valley Pheasants Forever will hold its 33rd annual banquet at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at the Ronan Community Center, 300 Third Ave.

Choral Society performances set for April
The Mission Valley Choral Society will perform a pair of concerts April 9-10 for “The Awakening” on Palm Sunday weekend. The first concert begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the St. Ignatius Mission. The second concert is at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Polson, which will include MVCS members as well as community members who will join in for a mass choir presentation for the last two musical numbers. Immediately following the Sunday concert, a meal will be served in the church. Those wishing to sing with the mass choir should RSVP as soon as possible so enough music can be provided. Gun ownership banquet, debate coming to Missoula
The Montana Shooting Sports Association will host a banquet and discussion about the future of gun ownership in Montana on May 14 in Missoula.
The dinner will take place at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Missoula. Confirmed speakers for the event are Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen and Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter. U.S. Senator Jon Tester is slated to speak as well if his schedule permits.
Prior to the dinner, starting at 4 p.m., there will be a debate between candidates for the new Montana U.S. House District 2 seat. The debate will be moderated by radio personality Aaron Flint.
