Man killed in crash near Hot Springs
Speed and alcohol are suspected factors in a fatal single-vehicle crash near Hot Springs early Monday morning.
A Montana Highway Patrol report identified the victim as a 31-year-old man from Norris. The crash happened at about 12:50 a.m. on Montana 28 in Sanders County.
The man was driving a 2001 Dodge 2500 northbound on the highway when he drifted over the center rumble strips. The driver corrected to the right and hit a delineator post, then corrected back to the left, sending the pickup into a spin. The truck then hit an embankment and flipped, ejecting the driver.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
