St. Ignatius woman killed in Highway 200 crash

A St. Ignatius woman died following a one-vehicle crash Thursday night in Sanders County.

The 40-year-old driver was alone in a Toyota Tacoma just before 11 p.m., according to a Montana Highway Patrol incident report. The truck was headed east on State Highway 200 when the driver lost control, then overcorrected, causing the truck to roll. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.

The crash occurred near mile marker 113, and road conditions were dry, according to the report.

The report shows no indication that investigators suspect drugs, alcohol or excessive speed were involved. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
