Senior Center Calendars

Polson

The Polson Senior Center, located at 504 Third Ave. E., is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Lunch is available from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays. Memberships (age 50-plus) are available for $15 per year on a voluntary basis. Individuals and small groups are always welcome to lounge, work puzzles, read, play card or board games, billiards, etc. Call us with your questions at 406-883-4735, or email us at polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com.

Activities

Exercise class: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. (low impact; seated, if desired)

Bridge: Coming soon. Call or come in to get on the players list.

Tai Ji Quan classes: 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $15 for members, $30 for nonmembers.

Bowling: 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

Mahjong: 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Thursdays. We play 3-5 hands per table. Coaching available.

Bingo: 7 p.m. Fridays.

Pool: Open table 8 am. to 3 p.m. Call for availability. New felt and cushions coming soon.

Tuesday, June 3: Veterans rep, 10 a.m. to noon.

Thursday, June 16: Hearing clinic, 10 a.m. to noon.

Meals

Lunch is served in the Center, by take-out or by home delivery, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call 406-883-4735 for information about payment arrangements. Meals cost $5.

Wednesday, May 25: Salisbury steak, whipped potatoes, cream peas, tomato aspic salad and chocolate pudding.

Thursday, May 26: Chili dog, fries, corn, pasta salad and cookie.

Friday, May 27: Roast beef birthday dinner at lunch with potatoes, gravy, green beans and pretzel salad. (Free gift for members born in this month in attendance for lunch. Also, a brief presentation from a representative of the Area Council on Aging.)

Monday, May 30: Closed for Memorial Day.

Tuesday, May 31: Reuben sandwich, chips, coleslaw w/vinaigrette dressing, and pistachio pudding.

Wednesday, June 1: Spaghetti, garlic bread, corn, grape salad and chocolate cake.

Thursday, June 2: Chicken thighs with sweet and sour sauce, rice, green beans, aspic salad and banana pudding.

St. Ignatius

The St. Ignatius Senior Center is located at 212 N. Main St. in St. Ignatius. Call the center at 406-745-4462 for more information. Tuesday and Friday lunches start at noon, and dinners the first and third Wednesday of the month start at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome for meals. For takeout, call by 10 a.m. for lunch or by 2 p.m. for dinners.

Thank you to all our donors and volunteers for making our yard sale days a success. There will be another yard sale in fall, and we hope to see lots of folks at that time.

Activities

Wednesdays: Gentle yoga class, 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Second Mondays (June 13): Pinochle, 6 p.m.

Meals

Lunch costs $4 for seniors, $5 for those under 60, and $3.50 for ages 6 to 12.

Friday, May 27: Ground beef casserole, veggies, rolls, fruit and brownies.

Tuesday, May 31: Beef stroganoff with noodles, veggies, fruit and dessert.

Wednesday, June 1 dinner: Teriyaki chicken, rice, veggies, fruit and cherry bars.

Friday, June 3: Cabbage skillet hot dish, sweet and regular potato oven fries, veggies, fruit and pumpkin bars.

Dixon

Dixon Senior Center continues to serve our community and hopes everyone is staying happy and healthy. All are invited to come enjoy dinner. Meals will be served Monday and Thursday evenings at 5 p.m. Meals are $4 per serving and are deliverable to Dixon residents upon request. We also accept takeout meal requests for $5 per serving.

Activities

Pinochle is back and is being hosted every fourth Monday of the month from 7 to 9 p.m. The next game is Monday, June 27.

Thursday, May 26: Roast, potatoes, salad, rolls and dessert.

Monday, May 30: No meal (Memorial Day).

Thursday, June 2: Chicken alfredo, broccoli, rolls and dessert.
