Calendar: Bible Story Time, Bats & AARP Smart Drivers Course
Bible Story Time
The Bible Story Time meets for its first night from 6:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Flathead Reservation Boys & Girls Club in Polson. The six-week nondenominational class will explore Old Testament stories with lively songs and art projects.
The free class will be taught by volunteers from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Parents will be required to attend the first night to fill out registration information for children in grades 1-5. Registration materials are also available at the Boys & Girls Club main desk; students do not have to be club members to participate.

Head to the North Lake County Public Library in Polson Oct. 24-30 for Bat Week.
Learn more about these unique little mammals during an evening family program 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, featuring Stephanie Gillin; a wildlife biologist with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
Coloring pages and special displays are also on tap at the library.
AARP Smart Driver Course
Learn to be a better driver during the AARP Smart Driver Course from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 at the North Lake County Public Library.
Pete Ridge offers participants an opportunity to get up to speed on the latest driving strategies, auto safety features and new state and local traffic laws. This class is designed for drivers 50 and older, but all drivers are welcome, and upon completion, may be eligible to receive an auto insurance discount.
