Erma J. (Mapston) Davis Prier

Erma J. (Mapston) Davis Prier, 91, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on April 5, 1931, in Stockett, Montana, the daughter of Raymond and Grace (Muntz) Mapston.

In 1948, Erma married Ernie Davis and together they raised three children, Gayle Rose (Ray), Dana Blush (Ken), and Dean Davis.

After Ernie’s death and Erma’s retirement from the U.S. Post Office in Big Arm, Montana, she moved to Arizona to pursue her love of music! On Dec. 12, 1996, she married Gil Prier and together they made a life of music throughout Arizona. In May of 2018, Gil and Erma moved back to Montana and made their home in Columbia Falls until her death.

Erma was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to Diana Hughes (Chris), Derek Davis (Alea), K.C. Hutchin (deceased), Taylor Davis (deceased) and Dara Davis (deceased).

Erma has joined her loved ones in heaven, Raymond and Grace Mapston, Ernie Davis, grandchildren, K.C. Hutchin, Taylor Davis and Dara Davis.

Erma is survived by her husband, Gil Prier, of Columbia Falls; her brother, Wes Mapston (Kathy) of Arlee; her three children and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her two special puppies, Benji and Puggi.

Erma will be laid to rest in St. Ignatius with her loved ones at Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date.
