James V. Burnham

James V. Burnham, 85, passed away on Sept. 7, 2022. He was born to William and Elizabeth (Hatton) Burnham in New York City on May 5, 1937.

James chose the Air Force to fulfill his military service as an aircraft mechanic. After leaving the military he attended college and received a bachelor’s degree for Mechanical Maintenance Engineering.

James met Laurie Malcott in Dillon, MT and they were married in Las Vegas on Sept. 5, 1991. In 2006 James retired and the couple resided in the Anaconda area until December of 2019 when they moved to the beautiful Mission Mountains.

James’ urn will be placed at the VA Cemetery at Fort Harrison in Helena, MT. The service will take place at 2 p.m. on Sept. 27, 2022, with full military honors. A memorial service will be held in the spring when family will be able to attend.
