Appreciates safer animal crossings on 93

| April 6, 2023 12:00 AM

It is gratifying to see more effort, such as the installation of taller fencing north of St. Ignatius and in other areas along Highway 93, to facilitate safer crossings for all wildlife, including turtles, deer and bears. The carnage that occurs along our highways from vehicles is not acceptable for our wildlife.

I would like to give recognition to CSKT agencies involved in the efforts to reduce losses. The designs for safer wildlife crossings implemented on the Flathead Reservation should be prototypes for Montana highways across the state.
