Methodists celebrate Easter with four events
Five events are on the schedule for Easter morning, April 9, at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church on the top of Post Creek Hill.
For early risers a Sunrise Easter Service will be held on the outside deck at Ninepipes Restaurant at 6:45 a.m. Warm jackets are advised for this traditional praise service. Two more services are on tap at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church, with Easter Brunch available in the Fellowship Hall at 9 a.m.
Right after the 10 a.m. service, children from 0-12 years old will meet on the front porch of the church and begin on the signal to hunt for Easter eggs hidden on the church grounds. Organizers plan to hide “a great number of filled eggs with treats hidden inside.”
Services and events are open to all Mission Valley residents and visitors.
