Umphrey wins at Hamilton

At the Hamilton Invite on Thursday, April 6, Mission’s Bryce Umphrey won the long jump with a leap of 20-1, while Polson’s Drifter Skillicorn was second with a mark of 19-7. Ronan’s Taigen Lindquist was seventh with a jump of 18-2.25.

Ronan’s Connor Durglo was second in the triple jump with a mark of 40-6.5, while his teammate Wade Qualtier was fourth with a mark of 39-0.

In the 100-meter dash, Mission’s Canyon Sargent placed eighth (12.11) for a personal record.

Charlo’s Keaton Piedalue placed third in the 400-meter run (54.90). Teammate Hayden Smith was seventh in the 1,600-meter run (5:06.26).

Mission’s Zoran LaFrombois was fourth in the 3,200-meter run (10:36.51) for a personal record, while Charlo’s Smith was eighth (11:04.78)

Ronan’s Wade Qualtier, a sophomore, was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (45.46). The Chiefs’ 4x400 relay team of Wade Qualtier, Connor Durglo, Gabe Gagnon-Rusnac, and Josiah Misa was seventh (3:45.31), while Charlo’s squad of Tayre Brown, Hayden Hollow, Tucker Love, and Keaton Piedalue was eighth (3:47.85).

In the field events, Charlo’s Tucker Love was eighth in the javelin (147-04). Love was fourth in the pole vault (9-0), while teammates Hayden Hollow and Tayre Brown were tied for fifth with a mark of 9-0 as well.

Ronan, as a team, placed 11th, as did Mission, while Charlo was 14th at the meet, and Polson was 16th.

Ronan’s Ulutoa wins triple jump

Ronan’s Leina Ulutoa won the triple jump with a mark of 34-3, which is a personal record for the senior. The Maidens team placed tenth at the Hamilton Invite, while Polson was 14th.

Ronan’s Olivia Heiner was second in the 1,600-meter run (5:56.47) and was sixth in the 800-meter run (2:36.90). Polson’s Ashtyn Wagner was third in the 1,600-meter run (6:04.34) and was eighth (2:41.99) in the 800-meter run.

Polson’s Isabel Seeley was fifth in the 3,200-meter run with a mark of 13:43.86.

Polson’s 4x400 relay team of Hannah Simpson, Adison Carlson, Kellyn Nelson, and Ashtyn Wagner was seventh (4:49.98), while Charlo’s team of Aida Cote, Elsie Detert, Aubrey Sharbono and Karly Alder was eighth (5:02.17).

Cote was also eighth in the discus for the Lady Vikings (91-4.5). Ronan’s Kylie Fetui was sixth in the javelin with a mark of 97-09.

In the high jump, Ronan’s Lauryn Buhr placed eighth (4-6), and teammate Maddy Illig placed ninth (4-4).

Arlee’s Parson gets top marks at Bigfork Invite

Arlee’s Raven Parson was first in the long jump (15-5) and was fourth in the high jump (4-8) at the Bigfork Invitational on Saturday, April 8.

In the 100-meter run, Adalyn Jacobson was fifth (13.54) and ninth in the 400-meter run (1:07.66) for the Scarlets.

In the shot put, Shonlea Matt was eighth with a heave of 29-1 for Arlee. Matt was also 11th in the discus (74-6)

On the boys' side, Arlee’s Jake Knoll was fifth in the shot put (40-5), while teammate Bridger Smith was 11th (35-3). Knoll was also 10th in the discus (101-04), and Smith was 12th (98-4)

In the pole vault, Arlee’s JT Fuss was seventh (9-0), and teammate River Gray was ninth (8-6).

Arlee’s Kendall O’Neill was eighth in the 300-meter hurdles (49.94).
