Polson and MAC post big weekend softball wins
Polson chops down Libby
Polson improved to 6-0 on the year and, more importantly, 4-0 in league play with a 14-5 victory in Libby on Saturday, April 15. The bats continued to work for the Lady Pirates as they collected 15 hits.
McKenna Hanson had four hits, two doubles, and three RBI in the matchup for Polson, while Nikki Kendall added three and three runs batted in.
Polson led 7-0 after three innings, but Libby had a five-run rally in the bottom of the fifth. The Lady Pirates responded with a seven-run rally in the top of the sixth.
Samantha Rensvold pitched seven innings, striking out eight and walking two while allowing two earned runs. There were many errors in the matchup, as both teams combined for 15.

Polson bests Lake County foe Ronan
McKenna Hanson drove in six runs on two doubles and a home run to lead Polson to a 17-0 rivalry victory over Ronan last Friday in Northwest A Conference play. The Lady Pirates jumped out to an 8-0 lead in two innings on their home field and added another six in the top of the third and three in the top of the fourth.
Polson finished the game with 15 hits, including three-hit performances by Hansen, Carli Maley, and Tyneesha Brown. Nikki Smith and Samantha Rensvold also had multi-hit days, while Kailey Smith drove in five runs and hit a home run. Maley also had a homer.
In the circle, Polson pitcher, Samantha Renvold went four innings and struck out six while allowing four hits.
Ronan’s Ally Luedtke, Kaydance Santos, Tyariah Morigeau, and Trace Burland all had hits.
Only two errors were committed during the entire game.

Columbia Falls downs Ronan
Columbia Falls had 12 hits en route to a 14-4 victory over Ronan in Northwest A Conference action on Thursday, April 13, in Columbia Falls. The Wildkats had a 10-0 lead after three innings, but the Maidens fought back, plating four runs in the final two innings and collecting seven hits.
Alexis Luedtke had two hits, as did Kaydynce Santos for Ronan. Kaleigh Benson, Santos, Morgan Simpson, and Mira Corum all drove in runs, while Simpson also had a double.
Columbia Falls hit three home runs in the matchup.

CLASS B SOFTBALL
MAC swats Ennis
Mission-Arlee-Charlo improved to 6-0 on the year with a 17-0 victory over Ennis at the Anaconda Tournament on Saturday, April 15. They also toppled Manhattan.
In the Ennis game, Journey Crawford had three hits, three RBI, two doubles, and a home run for the Lady Bulldogs.
Ennis was held to just two hits as Izzy Evans pitched four innings, allowed no runs, struck out one, and walked one. Jada Domebo picked up the save, allowing no runs in the fifth.
MAC got home runs from Jerny Crawford and Bennan Andersen in a 16-9 victory over Manhattan. In their opening game of the Anaconda Tournament, MAC collected 12 hits and got a five RBI performance from Crawford.
Payton Smith, Andersen, and Lettie Umphrey also had multi-RBI games. In the circle, Izzy Evans pitched six innings, giving up just two earned runs and striking out five.
MAC has outscored opponents 97-20 so far this year.

Mission-Arlee-Charlo 10-runs Thompson Falls
Kason Page had a big day at the plate for Mission-Arlee-Charlo in a 16-1 victory at home over Thompson Falls on Thursday, April 13. Page had four hits, a home run, and drove in four runs in the fireworks-laden victory.
MAC had 16 hits as a team as Hayleigh Smith notched a three-hit, two-double day, and Payton Smith also had a multi-hit day.
Thompson Falls struck with a run in the first, but MAC had a ten-run rally in the bottom of the second and added three runs in the third and fourth innings, ending the matchup prematurely.
In the circle was Izzy Evans, who pitched four innings and gave up just one hit and one earned run while striking out two.

MAC scores over two dozen against Lincoln County
The scoring came open for Mission-Arlee-Charlo, which picked up a 27-9 victory over Lincoln County on Tuesday, April 11. Leading 15-8 heading into the top of the fifth, MAC scored 12 runs to put the game on ice.
Bennan Anderson had five RBI, while Hayleigh Smith, Izzy Evans, and Amelia Cronk each drove in two runs. MAC finished with 13 hits as a team. Anderson finished with five stolen bases, and Smith had another four. MAC, as a whole, had 16 stolen bases.
Payton Smith pitched four innings for the Lady Bulldogs, striking out six and walking none while giving up three earned runs. Evans came in for the final two innings and didn’t give up a hit while walking two, striking out two, and giving up one earned run.
