Celebrate National Library Week
North Lake County Public Library encourages all community members to visit the library, temporarily located at the Methodist Church on 16th Ave. E., during National Library Week, April 23-29, to explore all they have to offer. The theme this year is: “There’s More to the Story.”
The library offers a wide array of programs, classes and resources. Upcoming events include:
May Day, 2-4 p.m. May 1: Drop in for a light-hearted spring program that includes creating a simple origami container, filling it with a posy, and taking it home. Designed for adults, the program is open to all ages with supervision.
Programs for kids: Head to the library at 9:15 a.m. Mondays for Mother Goose, a an early learning experience geared toward ages 0 to 3. Story Time at 9:15 a.m. Thursdays is tailored to ages 3-5. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to read books, make crafts and play games with with their little ones.
