Ronan boys take third at home invitational
Anchored by a fourth-place finish by Colter Cornwell, the Chiefs golf team took third at the Ronan Invitational on Friday, Aug. 25. Cornwell shot a 79 at Mission Mountain Golf Course, just seven over par. Ronan teammate Oliver Rowe followed closely behind, who shot an 80 to place seventh.
Connor Durglo was 23rd at the tournament with a 91, while Cooper Clary notched a 33rd-place finish with a 98. Corvallis’s Tate Jessop won the boys' invite with a one under par 71.
The Ronan girls also performed strongly at the invite, as Hanna Lytton placed fourth for the Maidens, shooting a 92. Teammate Madisyn Evelo was 11th after scoring a 103, and Emma Smith was 17th after firing off a 108.
Frenchtown’s Katie Lewis won the individual event for the girls, shooting a 74, which is just two over par.
