Chiefs succumb to Frenchtown, Hamilton

Frenchtown Broncs take down Chiefs
Host Frenchtown went on a 26-9 run in the first quarter and notched a 59-42 victory over Ronan in theTip-Off Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 9.
Sean Small led the Chiefs with 10 points, while Laurance Lozeau had eight points. Lozeau hit two three-pointers. Josiah Misa and Marlo Tonasket each notched seven points.
Frenchtown led 32-19 at halftime and improved to 4-0 on the season.
Ronan shot 8-for-12 from the free throw line and fell to 1-2 on the season.

Ronan defeated by Hamilton
The other Broncs – Hamilton – surged in the middle quarters to defeat Ronan 67-49 in non-conference action at the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, Dec. 8. Canaan Magness led all scorers, notching 31 points for Hamilton.
After one quarter, Ronan trailed 17-11, and Hamilton went on a 20-11 run for the 37-22 halftime lead. The Broncs went on a 20-8 run in the third quarter to ice the game.
Marlo Tonasket led Ronan with 14 points, Josiah Misa added eight points, and Sean Small had seven. Tonasket and Misa hit two three points apiece.
Ronan fell to 1-1 on the season.
