In close game, Scarlets lose to Hot Springs

Arlee battled Hot Springs to the wire but ultimately fell short 44-43 in non-league road action on Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Scarlets were tied 27-27 with Hot Springs at halftime, but Hot Springs went on a 14-8 run in the third quarter. Undaunted, Arlee battled back, outscoring the Savage Heat 8-3 in the final stanza, but they couldn’t get the winning bucket.

Leah Mesteth led Arlee with 12 points, while Porter Pier added 11.

Arlee fell to 1-2 on the season with the loss.
