Mission Valley Calendar
Mission Valley Choral Society Christmas Concerts – 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at the St. Ignatius Mission and 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec.17, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Polson; the 40-plus voice choir, directed by Cathy Gillhouse, will sing a variety of music from spirituals to classic Christmas songs. The community choir brings a diverse group of people together, all ages with varied backgrounds, united to inspire through music. The concerts are free and welcoming to all.
Montana ShamRockers Christmas Concert – 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Theatre on the Lake in Polson; the fellas celebrate their 20th anniversary this year with a stellar mix of Celtic carols, anecdotes and a bunch of laughs. Admission is free.
Cottage Business and Craft Show – 1-4 p.m. Dec. 16 at Maxine’s, on Main Street in Polson; small businesses and artisans share wares in this inaugural event.
Christmas Benefit Dinner and Concert – 3:30-7 p.m. Dec. 20 at KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson; the CSKT Department of Human Resources-Families First Project is hosting this third annual “Help for the Homeless” event featuring free music, a barbecue ribs/brisket dinner (while supplies last), gift raffles and a photo booth. Proceeds go to the Warming Center in Pablo.
Open Mic and Jam – 7 p.m. Fridays at the Western Montana Musicians Co-op, Ronan; also on tap is a weekly Community Jam at 7 p.m. Saturdays. The cooperative is located in the Red Poppy Building, 1 Eisenhower St. SW in Ronan. Learn more at www.mtmusic.org.
Winter Market Ronan – noon-3 p.m. Sundays through Jan. 28 at the Boys and Girls Club’s rear gymnasium; shop for local crafts, meat and produce.
