Pirates drop two at Frenchtown Tip-off Tourney
Polson falls to Corvallis
Despite a furious comeback from the Pirates in the fourth quarter, Polson fell to Corvallis 57-56 to drop to 0-2 on the season at the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 9.
The Pirates outscored Corvallis seven points in the second half, trying to overcome a 33-25 deficit, but fell short.
Polson’s Anthony Lichtenberg hit four three-pointers and finished with 18 points, while Cason Graham added 13. Jesse Vail notched three three-pointers for nine points. Polson was 6-for-13 from the free-throw line.
Corvallis was led by Derek Criddle’s 22 points.

Polson drops season opener
Loyola’s offense clicked for the first three quarters and handed Polson a season-opening 79-38 loss in non-conference play at the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, Dec. 8.
Anthony Lichtenberg led the Pirates with nine points – all from three-pointers – but Polson couldn’t overcome a first-quarter 22-4 deficit. Loyola scored 28 points in the second quarter for a 50-20 halftime lead and notched another 20 points in the third quarter.
Carson Graham added eight points to Polson’s scorebook.
