Girls Class C Basketball: Lady Vikings best Superior

Charlo’s defense held their opponent to single digits in three of four quarters in a 51-27 Western 14C victory over Superior on Saturday, Dec. 16, on the road.

At halftime, the Lady Vikings led 24-16 and extended their lead by six points in the third quarter before going on a 13-3 run in the fourth.

Sheldon Kain led Charlo with 18 points, while Shonlea Matt notched 13 and Brielle Zempel had 7.

Two Eagle falls to Lincoln

Two Eagle’s Keke Tenas scored 12 points, but the Lady Eagles fell to Lincoln 59-23 in non-league basketball action Friday, Dec. 15.

With a 7-7 tie after one quarter, Lincoln went on an 18-4 run in the second for the 25-11 halftime lead. After the break, Lincoln went took off on a 16-7 run to ice the game.

Olivia Brueggeman added seven points for Two Eagle.
