Nine local students earn UM degrees
Nine Lake County students were among more than 800 University of Montana degree candidates for fall semester 2023.
The following students are UM degree candidates or were awarded their degrees Friday, Dec. 15. Students with “cum laude” after their name indicate a GPA of 3.40 to 3.69; Magna cum laude indicates a 3.70 to 3.89 GPA; and summa cum laude is 3.90 and above.
Arlee: William Monroe, master of education in Education Leadership; and Shealee Petrey, bachelor of arts in Communication Science and Disorders (cum laude)
Charlo: Gregory Sheumaker, certificate in Epidemiology
Moiese: Brooklyn Foust, associate of science, Registered Nursing (summa cum laude)
Pablo: Brandon Kittson, master of science in Wildlife Biology
Polson: Katherine Evans, doctor of philosophy in Organismal Biology, Ecology and Evolution; Bella Spencer, bachelor of arts in Psychology (summa cum laude) and certificate in Global Leadership (summa cum laude); and Stefanie Tassaro, master’s in Public Health
Ronan: Samantha Metzger, associate of applied science in Paramedicine
