Lady Vikings notch two wins

Charlo takes down Two Eagle 

Charlo improved to 4-2 on the season with a 77-43 takedown of Western 14C rival Two Eagle, 77-43, on Saturday, Dec. 22. Sheadon Kain led the Lady Vikings with 17 points while Two Eagle’s Dayani Piapot led all scorers with 18 points.

Charlo led 25-8 after one quarter and had a 46-28 halftime lead. After the break, the Lady Vikings went on an 18-5 run.

Brielle Zempel scored 13 for the Lady Vikings while Darcy Coleman and Seeley McDonald each had 12 points. Two Eagle’s Keke Tenas added 12 points to her team’s efforts.

Two Eagle fell to 2-5 with the loss.

Balanced attack leads Charlo past Seeley-Swan

Four different Lady Vikings scored in double digits as Charlo downed Seeley-Swan 53-40 in non-league action on Thursday, Dec. 21.

Charlo jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the first quarter but Seeley-Swan bounced back and snagged the 21-20 halftime lead. The Lady Vikings responded with a 17-7 run in the third quarter and held on in the fourth quarter for the victory.

Seeley McDonald and Brielle Zempel each had 14 points for Charlo, while Darcy Coleman added 13 and Sheadon Kain had 10.
