Dr. Daylight’s Jazz Company – 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Polson High School Auditorium; Louisiana-based jazz ensemble traverses traditional jazz standards and reconstructs top 40 arrangements, with a twist of jazz. Flathead Lake International Cinemafest (FLIC) – Feb. 24-26, with encore screenings Feb. 26-March 2 at Showboat Stadium 6 in Polson; the 11th winter film festival kicks off next Friday with a Taste of Polson and wraps up Sunday with an awards show and reception. North Lake County Library Surplus Sale – 2-6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the library in Polson; in preparation for the library’s renovation and temporary move to the Methodist Church, the library will sell shelving, furniture, equipment, supplies and more.
Science on Tap – 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at The Durham in Polson; Sarah Coefield of Missoula Public Health discusses “Wildfire Smoke and Human Health.” Her talk is part of a five-part series, hosted by the Flathead Lakers and Flathead Lake Bio Station, that explores the intersection of climate change and human health science.
