Polson Seniors greet New Year

The Polson Senior Center continues to develop a Facebook page and an active email list for our members and the community at large. Sign up, including Facebook name and/or email address, is entirely voluntary, and can be removed upon request. Sign up at the center or email info to polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com. Guest wi-fi will be available soon.

Activities coming up at the center are open to all, and include: bowling for fun, 1 p.m. Tuesdays; bridge, 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays (beginners welcome); pinochle, 12:30-3 p.m. Thursdays; and bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays, with playing card bingo on the first Wednesdays and third Thursdays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.

A low-impact exercise class is available 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

A veteran’s representative will visit the center from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 6, and Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. weekdays and cost $5. The menu is posted each week at the center.

Main dishes include: cheeseburger deluxe, Jan. 5; pork loin, Jan. 6; chili/mac with cornbread, Jan. 9; meatloaf, Jan. 10; soft-shell tacos, Jan. 11; BBQ pork sandwich, Jan. 12 and oven ham and cheese omelet, Jan. 13.
