Frenchtown powers to win over Polson
Frenchtown’s offense clicked in the first three quarters against Polson and resulted in a nonconference 77-49 loss for the Pirates on Friday, Jan. 13. Jarrett Wilson led the Pirates with 17 points, while Tyler Wenderoth notched nine points.
Meanwhile, four Frenchtown players scored in double digits as they jumped out to a 22-8 lead in the first quarter and extended that to 43-21 at halftime.

Columbia Falls survives Ronan
The Chiefs gave Columbia Falls all they could handle but ultimately fell 64-57 in Northwestern A Conference play. Ronan led 30-28 at halftime, but the Wildkats' offense gained the advantage in the third quarter and pulled away in the fourth.
Josiah Misa’s 15 points led Ronan while Ted Coffman had 14 points and Kolby Finley notched 12.

Ronan comeback falls just short against C-Falls
The Maidens powered back in the fourth quarter but couldn't quite make a comeback in a 53-50 Northwest A loss to Columbia Falls on Friday, Jan. 13.
Olivia Heiner scored 14, and Arianna Zepeda notched 12 points for Ronan. The Maidens trailed 33-23 at halftime but went on a 15-8 run in the fourth quarter.

Mission picks up sixth win
Lady Bulldogs got back on track with a 56-34 win over Eureka and improved their record to 6-2 overall, and 2-2 in Western 7B league play. Mission’s typical balanced approach saw nine players score points, with Kooper Page and Elannah Flat Lip’s 10 points leading the way.
The Lady Bulldogs are winners of three of their last four games and have the second-highest scoring offense in the league, with 414 points in eight games. They used that offense in a 16-2 third-quarter run to pull away from Eureka, which fell to 2-7 on the year.

Mission pulls past Eureka
Zoran LaFrombois notched 30 points as Mission won its second-straight game, improving to 5-4 on the season and, more importantly, 4-1 in Western 7B league play. Eureka was handed its second straight loss, a 60-51 setback on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Landon WalksOverIce scored 11 points, and Kellen McClure notched another nine points. Mission’s offense has scored 518 total points, the second-highest total in the league and one of the highest point totals in Class B. Mission sits just behind Bigfork (7-2 overall, 5-0 league) in the league standings.

Arlee flattens Plains
The Warriors' offense popped off and handed Plains an 86-26 nonleague loss on Thursday, Jan. 12. Arlee outscored Plains 29-6 in the first quarter, and then their defense held Plains to just six points in the entire second half.

Mission moves up league ladder with win over T-Falls
The Mission Bulldogs moved into second place in the Western 7B league with a 55-43 victory over Thompson Falls on Tuesday, Jan. 10. A balanced attack that saw three Bulldogs score in double digits helped Mission pull away with a 21-9 run in the fourth quarter.
Zoran Lafrombois led Mission with 16 points, Landon WalksOverice had 12 points, and Kenny Ness had 10 points.

Charlo led by Kain’s 26 in win over St. Regis
The Charlo girls are winners of four of their past five after a 55-31 Western 14C victory over St. Regis on Saturday, Jan. 14. Sheadon Kain led the Lady Vikings with 26 points, while Hayleigh Smith added another 12 in the win.
Charlo moved to 4-1 in league play and 6-3 overall, which is good for second in the league.
Against St. Regis, the Vikings jumped to a 25-13 halftime lead and finished the game on a 15-6 run in the fourth.
St. Regis fell to 5-5 overall and 2-4 in the league.

Superior defeats Charlo
Superior pulled away in the second half to hand Charlo a 52-32 loss in Western 14C action Friday, Jan. 13. The Lady Vikings trailed 24-19 at the break, and Superior’s defense clamped down, holding Charlo to single digits in the third and fourth quarters.
Sidney Bauer led the Lady Vikings with 15 points, while Sheadon Kain added five.

Noxon defeats Two Eagle
A 12-4 run by the Red Devils in the final stanza pushed Noxon past Two Eagle River 51-33 in Western 14C league action on Thursday, Jan. 12. Emily Brown scored 30 for Noxon, which had a 21-18 lead at halftime before pulling away.
Aereon Miller’s 12 points led Two Eagle, Dayani Piapot notched 10 points, and Lah Tai Finley scored eight. It was Two Eagle’s third straight loss as they fell to 1-8.

Hot Springs gets past Two Eagle
A big spurt by Hot Springs in the fourth quarter allowed them to come away with the 47-40 Western 14C league victory on Tuesday, Jan. 10. Two Eagle had a 31-20 advantage going into the fourth quarter before the Savage Heat went on a 27-9 run.
Sarah Gardipe led the Lady Eagles with 18 points, while Dayani Piapot notched 13 points.

Charlo grabs control of Western 14C
St. Regis was the undefeated league leader when they hosted Charlo on Saturday, Jan. 14. The essential word being was.
Charlo went on an 18-7 run in the fourth quarter, including eight points apiece by Keaton Piedalue and Stetson Reum to pick up the 65-54 league victory. The win catapults Charlo to the No. 1 spot in the standings at 5-0 and 7-2 overall.
Piedalue finished with 18 points, while Reum finished with 17. Titan Inman added 12 points, and Tucker Love had nine.
Charlo has won six games in a row and will host third-place Two Eagle on Thursday.

Charlo takes down Superior
Charlo needed a win against Superior on Friday, Jan. 13 to keep pace with St. Regis as a top team in the Western 14C. Charlo jumped out early and never looked back with its potent offense, downing Superior 68-49 to get the inside track on the league lead. The Vikings led 38-25 at halftime and then went on a 23-8 run in the third quarter.
Stetson Reum led all scorers with 17 points for Charlo, while Keaton Piedalue notched 15. Wesley Anderson also had 12 points, and Tucker Love notched 10.

Two Eagle used a big third quarter to fly past Noxon for a 55-37 win in Western 14C basketball action on Thursday, Jan. 12. The Eagles led 25-22 at halftime before going on a 16-8 surge to keep the Red Devils at a safe distance.
Thomas Spotted Eagle led Two Eagle with 26 points, while Cari Burke notched 13.
The Eagles have won four of their last five and are 3-1 in league play and 6-3 overall.
