St. Ignatius Seniors: Good Old Days on horizon
Good Old Days are July 14 for the barbecue and dessert contest and July 15 for the parade, games and lawnmower races. The Senior Citizen Center hosts a pancake breakfast (7 -11 a.m. am) and bingo (2 p.m.) July 15. The Fly-In at the airport is July 16 and includes breakfast.
Gardens have started to produce and fresh vegetables are healthy for each of us. If you have a garden and find yourself with extra veggies and/or fruit, please remember the senior
centers and your local food pantries. I know everyone enjoys these items.
The center has been gifted with 1,000-piece puzzles and has over 50. If you would be interested or know someone who could use a pastime pick a few up at the center.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a meal at the center at noon Fridays and Tuesdays and 5:30 p.m. selected Wednesdays. Menus are available via email, mail, or at the center. You don’t have to be a senior to join and support our center and meet neighbors old and new. Membership is just $10 a year.
Main dishes include: tuna and chip casserole, July 7; spaghetti, July 11, and chicken dinner, July 14. If you are interested in a take-out meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. and leave a message.
Gentle Yoga meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays. For more information, call 406-253-0177.
Foot Hill Club gathers at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays for snacks and cards.
The center has a computer available for public use from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays; the facility is also available to rent. A walker, commode, wheelchair or high-rise toilet seat, and other personal care items are also available to share.
