Bright woman lost 20 pounds

“June 28th, 1932, I started taking Kruschen Salts. Have lost 20 pounds from June 28th to Jan. 10. Feel better than have felt for four years. Was under doctors care for several months. He said I had gall stones and should have operation. Kruschen did all and more than I expected.”

State will vote if necessary, governor says

Predicting Montana would ratify the proposed 21st amendment to repeal the prohibition amendment by a six or seven-to-one vote, Governor Cooney said an election would be called in this state when and if its vote “is needed to complete the two-thirds needed for repeal.”

Flower show to be staged in HS gym

The flower show to be staged by the Ronan Garden club will be held in the Ronan gymnasium, it was announced at the meeting of the Ronan Garden club at the home of Mrs. Frank Wolf Friday evening. Details of the show were discussed. It will be open to the public Aug. 16 from 2 to 6 p.m.

Hamel-Kelly wedding held at Zion Lutheran

Mr. and Mrs. William R. Kelly have returned from their honeymoon trip through Idaho, Washington and Canada to remain through August.

Kathryn Dee Hamel and William Ryerson Kelly were married in St. Ignatius Zion Lutheran Church June 29.

Lunatics take over for Crazy Days

The summer’s first big community promotion starts on Friday when a whole pack of silly looking merchants trundle their wares to the sidewalks here for the start of Crazy Days.

The two day event promises to be wackier than ever this year with the addition of a growing number of other attractions.

911 number goes into effect in Mission

The new 911 emergency number will begin operating in Blackfoot Telephone Cooperative’s St. Ignatius exchange tomorrow.

The 911 number will connect callers with all emergency services – ambulance, fire, town police, sheriff, highway patrol. But residents were cautioned by Mayor Ken Hurt that the new number is also the only way to reach the services. As of 6 p.m. Thursday the old numbers will no longer operate, he said.
