| July 27, 2023 12:00 AM

LaDene Joan Forman Reid, age 92, formerly of Polson, went home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 14, 2023, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, while living with her daughter Gloria. She was born on June 23, 1931, in Polson to Ivan and Vashti Forman.

She was raised on a farm in Valley View and went to a one-room country school until attending high school in Poison. Mom has shared numerous memories of those early years of growing up on the farm, many of them long before electricity or indoor plumbing.

In 1947 she married David Reid. Four daughters were born to this union: Diane (Ed) Clark, Gloria Mellor, Wanda (Kyle) Karstens, and Lora (Ken) Smith. Mom had 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

Mom moved to Salem, Ore., in 1978 where she was employed in the admissions department at the Salem Hospital until retirement. She moved to Chandler, Ariz., in 1998 where she was very active in the Sun Lakes First Baptist Church.

She loved the sun and traveling with her daughters and friends. The highlight of these travels was a trip to Israel. She moved to Idaho in 2015 to be near her daughters.

Mom was a woman of faith who loved her Lord and was secure in her eternal salvation.

Aquamation has taken place and no services are planned.
