St. Ignatius Seniors: Appreciates breakfast volunteers
Thank you to all who come to the Good Old Days pancake breakfast, played bingo and bid on the silent auction items, as well as all the volunteers that helped prepare the pancake breakfast and helped serve it.
A special thanks to the Mission Valley Ranch Hands 4-H club for all their help. We had 4-H members and members of the Christian Church that rode on the Senior Citizen float. We could not have done all these things without all the above-mentioned help.
The St. Ignatius Senior Center is looking to hire a site manager. They will work with the kitchen staff to plan meals, do the computer work, visit with meal participants and help the center with other projects. The job takes two or three days a week for six to eight hour a day. Call 406-745-4462 for more information.
If you have a garden and find yourself with extra veggies and/or fruit, please remember the senior centers and your local food pantries. I know everyone enjoys these items.
The center has quite a few 1,000-piece puzzles to give out.
Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a meal at the center at noon Fridays and Tuesdays and 5:30 p.m. select Wednesdays. Menus are available via email, mail, or at the center. If you are interested in a take-out meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. and leave a message.
Main dishes include: BBQ chicken, noon July 28; pork stir-fry, noon Aug. 1; meatloaf, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2; and salmon burgers, noon Aug. 4.
Gentle Yoga meets at 1 p.m. Wednesdays (call 406-253-0177); and Foot Hill Club gathers at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays for snacks and cards.
The center has a computer available for public use from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays; and sever personal-care items are available to share. The facility is also available to rent.
If you need help with transportation, respite and home health services, or other information, call the friendly people at Lake County Council on Aging in Ronan at 406-676-2367.
