Jeffrey Scott Chada, 58

September 25th, 1964-May 27th, 2023

Jeffrey Scott Chada, age 58, of Elburn, Ill., died surrounded by family Saturday, May 27, 2023 after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer. He leaves family and friends in grief, but also a lifetime of memories to cherish.

He was born Sept. 25, 1964, in Aurora, Ill., to loving parents Robert Chada and Judy Simshaw. He grew up in Oswego, Ill. and Polson, and graduated from Oswego High School.

Jeff and his wife, Susan, got married in 1992 and raised four kids and later, his oldest grandchild Jaden. He believed in hard work all his life, and spent decades owning businesses, including a concrete company and later an epoxy flooring company.

He spent many years traveling the United States racing motocross with his kids. Later in life, he traveled with his grandson Jaden for archery competitions.

Other than working, sneaking food to his four dogs, watching street racing, cooking, working more, enjoying the outdoors, smoking meat on his Traeger grill, making bacon and sharing it all with the family, and rock n’ roll music were the things he enjoyed most in life. Jeff loved spending time outdoors and especially in the mountains of northwestern Montana.

Jeff leaves behind the best people in his life, his wife, Susan Chada, and four children Jessica Snyder-Baumgartner (Cory Lehman), Harry (Brittany) Snyder, Cara Chada-Arroyo (Andy Moss), and Robert Chada; his parents, Robert (Louella) Chada and Judy (Doane) Simshaw; brothers Todd (Cyndi) Chada and Kelly Chada (Jennifer Klambauer); sisters Shaelyn Noyes and Ajalin Simshaw. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Jaden, Jordan, Jazmin, Kamryn, Brody, Nick, Mayzie, Cole, Aubryanna, Joslyn, Amiyah, and Robert Jr., and several nieces and nephews.

He is now reunited with his daughter, Sarah, maternal grandparents Dwane and Amy Moss, and paternal grandparents Charles “Bud” and Betty Chada.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at noon. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Hospital at https://raise.stjude.org/jeffchada.
