“Steel Magnolias” – 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1-4 at the Theatre on the Lake at Boettcher Park in Polson; Port Polson Players, in association with Mission Valley Friends of the Arts, bring the funny, poignant masterpiece to life. Flathead Lake Rock Skipping Championships – 10-11:30 a.m. June 3 at The Cove Deli and Riverside Park in Polson; all proceeds fund the Ken Avison Memorial Scholarship. This “Bring Your Own Rocks” event begins with registration and a rules clinic at the Cove, a bagpipe-led procession to Riverside Park and opening ceremonies. Winners in two age categories (12 and under and 13 and over) will be crowned the Montana State Champion.

Chainsaw Carving Rendezvous – June 8-11 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan; Watch 13 expert carvers create three or four different pieces throughout the weekend with live auctions Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Learn more at ronanchamber.com.
