Mission's Kooper Page will continue to lace up her shoes to play basketball – and move a state over.

Page, a standout Lady Bulldog player, has officially committed to playing for Central Wyoming College (CWC) in Riverton.

Page attributes her successful recruitment to the visibility of her Hudl link on her Instagram profile. The coach and the CWC women's basketball account took notice of her skills and reached out to her through Instagram direct messages. Eager to explore the opportunity to play at the collegiate level, Page enthusiastically accepted the offer and engaged in further discussions with the coach.

"I am really excited because I know it'll be an awesome experience," Page said. "I didn't really picture myself playing college basketball because softball has always been my sport before I had surgery on my labrum, but I know that I will love playing basketball, especially on the next level."

Impressed by her film and highlights, the coach invited Page to visit the university and participate in a workout session. During her visit, she had the opportunity to explore the campus, meet her potential teammates, and familiarize herself with the basketball facilities. The positive experience cemented her decision to commit to CWC.

One of the deciding factors for Page was the exceptional rapport she developed with the coach. Their easy and open lines of communication, coupled with the coach's extensive basketball knowledge, resonated with her. Furthermore, she was captivated by the overall setup of the school, including the quality of the athlete housing and the financial support offered, which would alleviate the burden of student debt.

Regarding her role on the team, Page will play shooting guard.

Beyond athletics, Page was also drawn to CWC because of its renowned science program. With aspirations of becoming an orthodontist, the opportunity to pursue her academic interests while excelling in basketball greatly appealed to her.

Page expressed heartfelt appreciation to those who have supported her along the way. She expressed gratitude to her parents for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout her basketball journey.

"I would like to thank my high school basketball coach Dalton Delaney for always getting in the gym to work with my team and I," Page said. "He always believed in me, and I really appreciate that. "

Additionally, Page thanked her teammates for their continuous support and for allowing her to serve as team captain, along with appreciation to her sister for being her constant pillar of strength, both on and off the court.

As Page prepares to embark on her collegiate basketball journey at Central Wyoming College, it will be a change of scenery, but her ability and passion for the game will remain exceptional.
