Several named to All-State, All-Conference softball squads

Polson and Ronan each landed two players on the All-State Softball team for the 2023 season.

McKenna Hanson and Carli Maley Jr. were named to the team as Lady Pirates, while Ronan’s Kaleigh Benson and Kaydance Santos were also honored.

Hansen, a junior infielder, hit .494 this season with 38 RBI, nine doubles, a triple, and six RBI. A junior catcher, Maley hit .455 with eight home runs, seven doubles, and 38 RBI.

Benson, a senior second baseman, hit .437 this season with nine doubles, a home run, and 26 RBI, while Santos, a pitcher and shortstop, hit .425 with six doubles, one triple, three home runs, and 21 RBI.

Hanson, Maley, Benson, and Santos were also named First-Team All-Conference, as was Polson’s utility player Samantha Rensvold, who hit .292 this year with two doubles and 16 RBI.

Ronan’s Tyariah Morgieau and Alexis Luedtke were also named to the Second Team All-Conference team. Morigeau, a pitcher infielder, hit .380 this season with seven doubles, a triple, and 21 RBI. Luedtke hit .377 the season with six doubles, three home runs, and 22 RBI.

Polson’s Avery Starr and Kailey Smith were also added to the second team. Starr, a pitcher and infielder, hit .328 this year with a double, two home runs, and 27 RBI. Smith, an infielder, had five doubles, two triples, four home runs, and 24 RBI while hitting .273.

Polson’s Tyneesha Brown, a senior outfielder, and Ronan’s Brogan Youngren, a senior first baseman, received honorable mention All-Conference honors.
