Mariners beat Missoula, lose to Glacier Twins
Glacier sweeps Mariners
The Glacier Twins made a doubleheader sweep of the Mission Valley Mariners with 14-1 and 9-4 victories in Polson on Saturday, June 17.
The Twins opened with a six-run rally in the second inning and a seven-run rally in the fourth inning en route to handing the Mariners the 14-1 defeat in the first game.
Cole and Wyatt Wadsworth each had two hits for the Mariners, with Wyatt driving in the team’s lone run. Cole had a double as well.
Glacier finished the matchup with 11 hits, while Mission Valley had five hits and six errors.
The nightcap game was a closer affair, with both teams tied 2-2 after three innings, but the Twins notched a five-run rally in the fourth inning.
Espn Fisher had a home run, while Dawson Dumont had three hits at the plate and drove in a run. He also smacked two doubles, while Cody Haggard had a hit and drove in a run.
Glacier finished the game with eight hits. Fisher, Cole Wadsworth, and Landon Pablo were on the mound for the Mariners and combined for four strikeouts.
The losses dropped Mission Valley to 9-6 on the year.

Fisher homers twice in win over Missoula
Espn Fisher homered twice while Cody Haggard and Dawson DuMont also went yard as the Mission Valley Mariners picked up a 14-7 Legion Baseball victory over the Missoula Impact on Wednesday, June 14.
The Mariners had 16 hits as a team and had four different pitchers scatter nine hits by Missoula.
Mission Valley led 2-1 after three innings, adding another run in the fourth, two in the fifth, and four in the sixth. The Mariners scored five runs in the final three innings, staving off a Missoula rally that saw the Impact scoring three runs in the seventh and two runs in the ninth.
Missoula committed five errors, while Mission Valley committed four errors.
Fisher, DuMont, Holden Emerson, and Cymian Kauley each had three hits, while Cody Haggard and Landon Shoemake had multi-hit games. Fisher and Haggard drove in three runs, while Kauley and DuMont each brought home two.
Kauley started the game pitching for the Mariners, allowing no hits while striking out four. Cole Wadsworth, Haggard, and Zak Muzquiz pitched the final six innings for the victory.
