Summer Solstice Festival and Brewfest – 1-5 p.m. June 24 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan; tickets are on sale now for the inaugural brewfest, featuring live music, samples of more than 20 craft beers from 11 western Montana breweries, and a variety of food and beverage vendors. St. Ignatius Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary Picnic – 11 a.m. at Old Town Field in St. Ignatius; firefighter fundraiser includes a pig roast with all the fixins’, live and silent auctions, raffle drawings and door prizes.

Rollins Schoolhouse Open House – 11 a.m.-3 p.m. June 24 at the Rollins Schoolhouse on the west shore of Flathead Lake; the Women of Rollins Club is gradually renovating and restoring the building constructed in 1906. The historic schoolhouse was purchased by the club in 2021 from the Dayton School District, with the help of a generous gift from the Hollensteiner family. For more information, call 406-844-2062.

Yellow Bay Clubhouse Community Bazaar – 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 24 at the Yellow Bay Community Clubhouse, 23420 Montana Hwy. 35 (milemarker 18); fundraiser for the historic clubhouse includes gently used household items, furniture, a used book sale by Polson’s Friends of the Library, homemade baked goods, a lunch wagon and free coffee. Lake County Democrats Spaghetti Dinner with Ryan Busse – 5:30 p.m. June 28 at the Mission Valley Senior Center in Ronan; the Lake County Democrats’ annual spaghetti dinner and fundraiser includes a talk by Ryan Busse, author of Gunfight, an expose of the gun industry. Fourth Festivities – Polson: Fireworks at dusk July 3 from Riverside Park; parade at noon July 4. Charlo: Fireworks at 10 p.m. July 3; parade at 12:30 p.m. July 4. This year’s theme is “Salute to the Soldiers.”
