Arlee celebrates Fourth with parade, museum opening
“Freedom and Fireworks” is the parade theme of the 71st annual Arlee Fourth of July Parade. The parade begins at noon, traveling south on Fyant St., and turning west onto Bouch before heading north and returning to the high school via Morigeau St.
Registration is at the entryway to Arlee High School, with parade participants lining up in the parking lot.
Parade categories include Patriotic, Clubs and Organizations, Commercial, Western Outfit, Indian Outfit, Vehicle, and Novelty and Humorous.
Trophies will be awarded at the Arlee Jocko Valley Museum following the parade.

While waiting for the trophy presentations take a step back in time at the museum which is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 4 and by appointment during the summer.
This year, the museum will feature an exhibit on loan from the Montana Historical Society exploring the travels of Lewis & Clark.
The historic church building also houses a continuous display of photos and artifacts depicting veterans, homesteaders and Native Americans. The museum will also sell assorted Arlee High School yearbooks for $5 each and give away old sports uniforms.
