There is a good reason Dawson DuMont is moving on to play college baseball.
The Polson High grad, representing the Mission Valley Mariners, won the 2023 Big Bucks Tournament Home Run Derby in Libby over the weekend.
DuMont belted an astounding 20 home runs across two rounds. His remarkable performance left spectators in awe and solidified his position as one of the most promising young sluggers in the region.
DuMont's achievement was recognized with a custom trophy bat donated by Vullo Bat Company, adding an extra touch of prestige.
Earlier this year, DuMont committed to playing baseball at Shoreline Community College in Seattle. He is currently spending his summer collecting extra-base hits and pitching for the Mariners.
