Last weekend’s Libby Big Bucks Tournament brought the Mission Valley Mariners wins against Lockwood and North Idaho, and two losses to The Generals and Inland Empire.

Cole Wadsworth had two hits, while Zak Muzquiz had two RBI. Mission Valley started chipping into the Inland Empire's lead with a run in the third inning and a four-run rally in the top of the fourth.

Mission Valley finished with four hits and four errors. Pitcher Landon Pablo started the game, and Cymian Kauley came in to pitch the final four and one-third innings, allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out two.

On Saturday, Muzquiz pitched five innings, allowing just two hits and striking out three to help lead Mission Valley past Lockwood 12-1. The Mariners jumped out to a big lead in the first three innings and the 10-run rule was enacted before the bottom of the fifth.

The scoreboard was finally used in the fourth inning, with both teams tied 1-1. The Generals scored a run in the fifth and another in the sixth, which proved to be the difference.
