Happy Birthday, America! Celebrate safely, and remember, the fire season is upon us. The center is closed July 4.

Jane Holland, a long-time volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels is resigning to pursue other activities. Thanks, Jane for giving your time in serving those in need in our community! Good luck in your next adventure.

Volunteer drivers are needed – starting about 10:30 a.m. and finishing in about an hour, Monday-Friday.

Clean green plastic bags used by Super One Foods are needed for our food services. Place in bin on west side of the center.

Thanks for all the fresh produce that has been donated to the center. Your harvest helps feed the hungry.

Activities at the Polson center, open to all, include: low-impact exercise, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; pinochle, noon-3 p.m. Thursdays (free cookies, coffee and fun); bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays ($100 payout on blackouts), with playing card bingo on the first and third Wednesdays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. Mahjong players gather at noon Wednesdays.

A veteran’s representative will visit the center from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, July 7, and Tuesday, July 18.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. weekdays and cost $5. The menu is posted each week at the center on online; call before 10 a.m. for deliveries.
