Work resumes on Hwy. 93 Ronan-North project

The Montana Department of Transportation announced that Riverside Contracting will be working on the U.S. Highway 93 Ronan-North project this week, as weather permits. Operations will be limited and focused on preparations for full construction this spring.

Crews will be working on the side of the highway around Baptiste Road and north of the U.S. 93 and Round Butte Road/Terrace Lake Road intersection, across from Dairy Queen.

All work will occur off the roadway, so there will be little to no traffic disruptions. When traveling through the project site, drivers are cautioned to be mindful of their speed and watch for workers and equipment.

Online vehicle registration now available

Weary of waiting in line to register vehicles? A Department of Justice portal now allows Montana residents to register their vehicles online via MVD Your Way.

Those who have changed their address or name, want a permanent registration, qualify for an exemption that’s not reflected on their current renewal notice, want to request a new license plate or need to adjust their vehicle’s Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), still need to visit the county treasurer’s office.

The rest of us, however, can now complete the process online at mt.vitu.com/mvdyourway/vrguest/.

Montana driver licenses may also be renewed online for those ages 21 to 63, who hold an existing license and apply within six months prior to the expiration date or within a year after that date. Learn more at mt.vitu.com/mvdyourway/dlguest/.

The Department of Justice website offers a wealth of online information and forms; head to dojmt.gov/driving/vehicleservices/ for details.
