Ronan man killed in crash near Lake's Corner
A Ronan man, 21-year-old Jonah Jones, died in a vehicle crash near Spring Creek Road in the vicinity of Lake's Corner, in the early morning hours of March 6.
Jones was headed south when he went off the left side of Highway 93 and collided with an asphalt roller. The roller was unoccupied at the time of the accident and was parked off the highway.
According to Montana State Highway Patrol Trooper Ivanoff who responded to the scene, the accident was technically a two-vehicle crash because Jones' vehicle connected with the asphalt roller near mile marker 48.
The accident is still under investigation, Trooper Ivanoff said, and he could not speculate on the cause of the wreck. It will be approximately two weeks before blood tests will be completed at the Montana State Lab.
