Polson looked every bit like the state power they have been for years, picking up two victories on Saturday, March 25, in their First Four softball event to begin the 2023 campaign. Polson defeated Class B Plains by a score of 15-0 in four innings, then toppled Class AA Flathead 10-1 in five innings.

Against Plains, Samantha Rensvold picked up the win for the Lady Pirates, pitching three innings, allowing just one hit, and striking out five. Alyssa Orien pitched the fourth and struck out one.

Polson led 8-0 after two innings before scoring seven more in the third.
